This very dark colored mulch is fine in texture making it a beautiful top dressing to any garden. Fundy is made from decomposed birch, maple, and hemlock barks, sphagnum peat moss, and a healthy dose of kelp solids (famous for retaining water). Also this mulch greatly improves organic matter in the soil, especially when turned under at the end of the growing season. Our herb garden sings its praises with nothing else added.
